About

Novelist, animal lover, spiritualist and vegetarian
Karen’s first foray into the world of publishing was an eclectic compilation of short stories; All That & Everything, many of which won literary awards: see bottom of this page.

Though Australian-born, Karen has strong family ties to Italy and England, particularly Yorkshire, where she once lived and regularly visits – the inspiration for the setting of her novels.

Karen’s first novel, Torn was a stunning success and her ‘cinematic’ writing style attracted worldwide attention. Torn was quickly followed by its sequel, Inviolate which picks-up where Torn fans were left wanting more.

“A gripping read to the point of forgetting what is going on in the world around you. Definitely an author to be added to my favourites list!!!!” - Julie, reader, WA
The third, and final, instalment in the Torn trilogy has been slated for publication in 2017.

Torn and Inviolate have featured throughout the media, and both have received incredible feedback across Australia, and as far reaching as the UK, USA and Canada.

“The richness of the characters allowed the reader to both visualize day to day life." - Anita Carlson Bauer, chair Hinsdale Book Club, USA
Good times and excellent coffee, life's greatest pleasures
In her other life Karen writes financial articles for various industry publications, and technical material for banks and other large organisations. She is also a volunteer judge for Romance Writers Australia and offers manuscript assessment and editing services.

Karen lives in Victoria’s spectacular Riverina region with husband Stuart and two rescue cats, Katie and Panda.
When she’s not busy at her computer, Karen works as a volunteer at an animal refuge and likes to keep fit.
